High School Placement
Our graduates are ready for every path
Our graduates exhibit remarkable outcomes: they’re sharp and self-aware, they freely seek guidance, and they follow their own unique paths. When students leave VCS, they’re not only prepared for high school, they are truly ready for a life full of academic success and personal growth.
Beginning in the spring of their 7th Grade year, students meet collectively with our Director of High School Placement to gain an overview of the placement process and hone their essay writing skills.
In the 8th Grade, the Director of High School Placement, along with the rest of our High School Placement Team, continue to provide guidance and support as students prepare for standardized tests, craft workshop application essays, reflect on school visits, and develop interview and self-advocacy skills.
Because they take an active role in the placement process, our students graduate feeling self-assured and ready for high school. They look forward to this new chapter in their education, having chosen it with great forethought and in alignment with their talents and ambitions.
